Good news – the results of the air quality testing passed all the required parameters and the Health and Safety department has informed us that the building may be entered.

The task force worked very hard to deal with the lingering odour and the team is confident that our olfactory senses will not be offended.

Therefore, at the moment it seems that all is clear for Orde to open tomorrow morning and we will be there to receive the children.  If there is any concern and it becomes evident that safety will be a concern, we will inform you in the morning.

There was an incident at the Satellite Site this morning, which resulted in the building being closed for the day.

The elevator motor continued to run overnight causing a fair amount of smoke to build up in the elevator room which eventually  filtered through the rest of the building.

The fire department was called in and they suggested that the building be closed.

The Toronto District School board environmental team was also called into assess the air quality. It was under their advisement that the school was closed.

Extensive air quality testing will be undertaken through out the day, and the daycare will be advised as to the status of the building for tomorrow.
