Orde Day Care Town Hall - Orde Street Public School Foyer 5:30pm

Since 1979 it has been the practice of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and Orde Street Public School to consider children registered at Orde Day Care “in-district” as per the TDSB policy and they have not been required to complete an Optional Attendance application (TDSB Operational Procedure PR545: Optional Attendance 9.2).

On February 15, 2019 Orde Day Care was informed otherwise and that this change in will take effect immediately with JK students beginning school in September 2019.

We have requested a meeting with school principal, Mr. Michael Walkington and/or a TDSB Planning Department representative to respond directly to the questions and concerns of our Orde Day Care families.  The date has yet to be confirmed but it will take place next week on either Tuesday, February 26 or Thursday, February 28.  Orde Day Care will be providing childcare for families to be able to attend.

Happy and Safe Halloween

Happy and Safe Halloween

Loosely rooted in the Celtic Samhain tradition, Halloween or All Hallow’s Eve is celebrated as the night before All Saints Day November 1st. Halloween has since morphed into a great family holiday with various activities culminating in children and adults alike get dressed up in their favourite character.

The TDSB offers great safety tips to maximize the fun yet keep you all safe on this exciting night.

Have Fun!!
