Today is Child Care Worker and ECE Appreciation Day!!!<\/p>\n

The Orde Day Care Board of Directors would like to take the opportunity to THANK all our staff for their hard work and dedication to the children of Orde Day Care. In recognition of their efforts, each staff will receive a gift certificate from a local business.
\nWe invite families to write notes of appreciation to all our staff on the bristol boards located outside your child’s program rooms in recognition of this day.<\/p>\n

There is no job more important than yours,
\nno job anywhere else in the land.
\nYour are the keepers of the future:
\nyou hold the smallest of hands.
\nInto your care you are trusted
\nto nurture and care for the young,
\nand for all of your everyday heroics,
\nyour talents and skills go unsung.<\/p>\n

You wipe tears from the eyes of the injured.
\nYou rock babies brand new in your arms.
\nYou encourage the shy and unsure child.
\nYou make sure they are safe from all harm.
\nYou foster the bonds of friendships,
\nletting no child go away mad.
\nYou respect and you honor their emotions.
\nYou give hugs to each child when they’re sad.<\/p>\n

You have more impact than does a professor,
\na child’s mind is molded by four;
\nso whatever you lay on the table
\nis whatever that child will explore.
\nGive each child the tools for adventure,
\nlet them be artists and writers and more;
\nlet them fly in the wind and dance on the stars
\nand build castles of sand on the shore.<\/p>\n

It is true that you don’t make much money
\nand you don’t get a whole lot of praise,
\nbut when one small child says, “I love you,”
\nyou’re reminded of how this job pays.
