Update on Infant to Preschool Care under Emergency Orders

Dear Families of Orde Day Care

Today, the Province of Ontario was placed under a state of emergency. School closures to in person instruction will remain in effect until February 10, 2021.

Childcare that support children who are not school aged (Kindergarten to Grade 6) will be allowed to continue to operate their infant to preschool programs. Therefore, Orde Satellite and Orde Daycare will continue to operate our infant, toddler and preschool programs unless further direction is received from the Province or Municipal officials.

We will limit the number of staff at the centre to those who are essential to the operations, to ensure the safety of your children and our staff and respect the direction of Toronto Public Health and the Province of Ontario.

The reduction of staff will have more of an impact at the Orde site and may result in your child being cared for by a staff who typically would not work in the preschool program but who is familiar to your child.

Hours of operation will continue from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m

School age and kindergarten care will not be offered on the upcoming PD day January 15, 2021, as per the Provincial direction.
